Mohamed Hegazy joined PFI Asset Management as Internal Audit Manager in February 2025.
In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing risk-based audit plans for asset management operations. Hegazy plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization’s assets are managed efficiently, effectively and in compliance with relevant regulation and internal policies. He is also responsible to conduct internal audits of asset management operations, including fund and portfolio management, trading, compliance and client reporting. Mohamad is also responsible to asses risks and controls and ensure adherence to local and international regulations, including those set by the financial regulatory authority (FRA) and The Institute of Internal Auditors IIA.
With over 23 years of experience, Hegazy has a strong background in auditing, internal control policies and procedures, corporate governance and strategic planning.
Prior to joining PFI Asset Management, Hegazy worked as an Internal Audit Manager at Prime Holding from 2007 until January 2025. His main responsibilities included planning and executing internal audit activities, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, financial processes, and governance, identified risks, established policies and procedures for the Internal Audit function, and conducted risk assessments for the company.
Prior to that, Mohamed worked at KPMG for seven years as Senior Auditor. His main responsibilities included taking the lead on audit assignments from planning to completion, coordinate audit field work, ensure audit procedures are performed and guide the team through execution.
Hegazy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Ain Shams University in 1999 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which he completed in 2018.
